Make-up advice? Foundation keeps rubbing off!?

I just wanted to know what's the best type of foundation to use. Because I do get acne and all the usual stuff and every time that I go to parties and I wear make-up, it just seems to rub off halfway through.

I know that I should probably keep reapplying it, but I don't have time to quickly put some more on without making it look like a mess.

So are there any brands of foundation that works or even something that I can put over/under my make-up to help it stop rubbing off as much.

(I would prefer that you have used it before if its possible) Thanks!

Maybe its not what your putting on, but how your putting it on!

Always, always, always! Wash your face in the morning, Oil builds up over the night, and if you dont cleanse it your makeup will just slide off. Plus you'll clog your pores too.

I agree with the foundation primer. Always get oil free, which will smoothen your skin and keep your face matte. They also make oil control primer.

I use Lancome Base. It's pricey, but it lasts for months, it literally feels like liquid silk.

Also, i use Urbay Decay de-slick spray. You spray it before foundation, and afterwards. It's kinda like a bond, it keeps your makeup in place, and stops oil.

For foundation-guess what? Oil-free again. I like Lorac, Clinique, etc. Covergirl is also great! I love natureluxe.

Now how are you applying it?

I reccomend using a damp sponge and meshing the product INTO your skin, instead of ontop off. That way it wont slide off.

Lastly, use a setting powder. It will keep your makeup from running!

I like Mac blot powder, mayballine, bare minerals, and covergirl!

    Lemme know what happens love<3

I agree that a foundation primer will help. If your skin is on the oily side, I'd recommend Hard Candy Sheer Envy, which is a silicone primer with a mattifying agent. If your skin is normal or combination, I'd recommend Rimmel Fix and Perfect Pro. It's similar to the Hard Candy but without the mattifying agent. Both run about $7-$8. A pea-sized amount will cover your entire face, so they last a long time.

You can also try setting with powder or a finishing spray. I like the e.l.f. Studio High Definition Loose Powder ($6) as it is invisible on the skin and doesn't cake, or the e.l.f. Studio Setting Spray ($3).

Revlon Colorstay and Rimmel 25 Hour Lasting Foundation are both highly transfer-proof foundations and do not rub off easily. Both are medium to full coverage. Both are oil-free and once they set, they stay put. Revlon has a Dry-To-Normal skin formula and a Normal-To-Oily formula and a very wide range of shades. It runs around $13. Both are medium to full coverage.

Rimmel only has one formula, but it works well on my combination, breakout prone skin. It's $6-$7. The drawback with the Rimmel is the shade range, which is only about 10 shades, and only about 6 of them are easily found in stores. If you are very fair or have a very deep skintone, you may not find the shades you need.

Really simple solution : Revlon colorstay 24 hour foundation stays on foreverrrr.....set it with a setting powder, a translucent one. Rimmel translucent setting powder about 4 US dollars, works great! Use a primer. The most important step consider buying a makeup setting spray. Skindinavia is great, but my fav is Urband decays all nighter spray!

Use a foundation primer. They really do help keep foundation on. Also, you should be using foundation that is made for oily skin, such as Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse foundation- it's meduim to full coverage, and it's made for oily skin.
