My colleague borrowed $750 from me three months ago, now he is refusing to return?

When he told me that he will not return me I am very much disturbed.

Almost every day I happen to see him. I also curse in my mind. How ever I am not able to do any thing. What to do? Does God will punish him?

Update:

Unfortunately I don't have any proofs also.

Never loan money to anyone ever again. You can take him to small claims court and sue him for the filing fee and for the return of the loan. Sometimes even without proof you may win if you sue him. Because if they admit that you loaned or "gave" them 750 then the judge will most likely consider it a loan and make them pay you back. I would take them to small claims court.

If you have any text messages or emails where they admit to the loan that also helps. If you don't have any written evidence then I suggest sending them an email today and ask them "when will you pay me back the 750 I loaned you on (date of loan)? I really need the money back because it was never a gift and I trusted you to pay me back like you said you would"

then save and print out that email with their response (if they reply). Even if they say it was a gift they now are admitting that there was an exchange of money from you to them. So this could help win in court.

Wait, a few minutes ago, it was $380. Can't make up your mind?

You can take him to small claims court, if you have any documentation of the loan. If not? You just paid $750 to never have to speak to that guy again.

    Or $380.

God will not punish him. This is an expensive lesson for you: "neither a borrower nor a lender be". This is why professional moneylenders charge a lot of interest and hire guards.

How can you expect God to punish him when you're the a$$hole. Don't ever loan anyone you work with any money, and don't ever touch anyone at work either. Keep your hands and your money in your pocket.
