Theists: Have you ever prayed for world peace?

If so, do you think that these prayers have been answered?

I know that some theists say "God doesn't interfere with our free will", but if that is the case, is there any point in praying at all?

Update:

TDs aren't from me.

Not really. But I did once claim I had, because I thought it would sound good to the judges of the beauty contest I was taking part in at the time.

When I was a younger believer, I did indeed pray for world peace. Now I know that prayer will be answered when Jesus returns in power and glory.

What i heard so far from theists sounds like this:

"God does not have to answer your prayer"

"you can't interfere with God's will and you can't understand it, so if your prayer doesn't get answered, it is not meant to be"

    My favorite is:

"He says no, yes, maybe, or wait"

Funny fact guys, "he" says nothing (means "he" doesn't say anything) since he's imaginary so praying to him is just as effective as praying to your goldfish.

Actually scratch that, the chance that a goldfish can answer your prayers is higher, the fish at least exists so you never know...

Source(s): Ha that will be a good test, doubt there would not be many people left afterwards though if it really did work which is highly unlikely.
