Best affordable hotels in the las vegas strip?
What are the best hotels in Las Vegas on the strip and are affordable/cheap without the rooms being run down/tacky.
I was planning on staying at the Palazzo hotel(I know its not cheap) for 3 nights but I just wanna have more options.
Also, pros and cons for the hotel/hotels you've listed?

Sure book with the promo codes you can find pretty much anywhere (best site is i4vegas and, to a lesser extent, smartervegas). However, Palazzo is going to be expensive no matter what. MGM will offer very nice room at much more affordable prices, or Luxor (Tower rooms only), or even the very nice Paris resort. Otherwise Tresure Island is affordable, though its rooms are small in my opinion. Mirage has beautiful rooms but it's so noisy (no soundproofing in any way)...

Las Vegas is really a town that's something for all therefore learn it with hotelbye . Las Vegas is just a city with great attractions and one particular may be the famous Las Vegas Strip; the place where tourists may like a go in the warm desert night, or have a stroll downtown and view a amazing mild show that spans a complete road, the Fremont Street Experience. Guests may also get a glimpse of amazing earth popular re-creations like erupting volcanoes, the Eiffel Tower and the Sphinx of Egypt before the various hotels and casinos. Las Vegas is really a city that continually reinvents it self, therefore even if you have already been here before you will never run out of enjoyment what to do.

Wynn/Encore is my favorite resort but the cost is way up there with Palazzo, typically $200+.
Mandalay Bay is the lowest priced luxury resort on the strip. The rooms there are not much smaller than Encore's and are just as nice. That south end of the strip is overcrowded with strollers though. The Wynn/Venetian area is a bit less frantic.
Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon (formerly Barbary Coast) is the nicest budget property on the strip. I stayed there in 2009 for $40 per night and liked the room almost as much as Mandalay Bay and Encore. It's dead center strip next to the Flamingo as well. BUT you have to ride these two old slow elevators to get to your room... or find the staircase. The casino is like a downtown casino too, noisy and small.
I've stayed at all those properties and would return to any one of them again.
Read reviews on tripadvisor... that's your best source of info about hotels.

Palazzo is very nice, but can be a little expensive. I think the best rates I've seen there are $129 a night. It;s one of the top tier hotels along with Wynn, Caesars, Bellagio, Aria. If you want to go a little cheaper, here are some options:
I think one of the most under-rated hotels on the Strip is Monte Carlo. You can get rates that are very reasonable there. There is nothing "fancy" about it but it's nice and it has a great location right next to CityCenter. Do keep in mind there is a $20 resort fee. Planet Hollywood is good too. Fun vibe. No resort fee. Go0d location - http://www.vegashotelspecial.com/index.php/categor...
Also right across the street from Palazzo is Treasure Island. - http://www.vegashotelspecial.com/index.php/categor...

Planet Hollywood is one of my favorite affordable hotels. The only con was the washroom in our room was a bit small.
I travel to Vegas at least 5 times a year- do not waste your money staying at the Palazzo. There is so much to do in Vegas that you dont even have time to relax in your room and when you do its for the 3 or 4 hours of sleep you get each night. Vegas is not a place you go to relax, it's where you go to have fun. Take advantage of using your money for other things besides your room.

For decent accommodation and rates in center strip Flamingo is the best bet.. Any of the MGM Mirage properties charge resort fees which adds about $20 per day to the cost.
Palazzo is very expensive as are any of its peers (Caesar's Bellagio, Encore etc)
It really depends on how much you are willing to spend.
But really in Vegas you spend very little time in your room so the likes of Flamingo is best bet

You can find really good rates at Flamingo. It's an older property, but has a great location and was recently renovated.
I would also look at the rates at Monte Carlo (good location, laid-back atmosphere, nice pool, no big clubs, but a great brewery); MGM (HUGE, good location, lots of bar/restaurant choices); Treasure Island (good location, fun atmosphere, nothing bad, nothing great).

There is nothing wrong with any hotel casino on Strip, nothing but affordable would be NYNY, Excalibur or Monte Carlo

If you want to be cheap, make sure you book with a promo code. This applies for 5 stars too.
http://www.mycheapvegas.com/ will generally have most of them.
For best bang for yoru buck, I'd go with Flamingo. They have newly renovated rooms, perfect location, no resort fees, and a pretty good atmosphere as well. Other options include Tropicana, which have the best rooms for it's class, and Monte Carlo. However, the latter 2 do have resort fees.
