They are one of two things. If it is on the steering wheel, it's hard to tell since it's dark, it's the cruise control buttons. The one with the guage and the plus sign is used to set the cruise at what ever speed you choose. It also functions as the acceleration or resume (if you tap on the brakes, it brings it back up to the speed you set it at). The one with the negative slows the vehicle down or decreases the set speed. I promise I'm not trying to sound mean, but one day soon, I'd read the owner's manual on the car. It has a lot of good useful information like this in it.

If it is on the panel next to the light switch, it is the dimmer control for the dash lights. Obviously + to make them brighter, - to make them darker.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi paulfenderply57,

Those buttons will adjust your set speed control (sometimes known as cruise control) up or down 1 mph, depending on whether you press the plus or minus sign. You can check out more information about your Focus in the Owner's Manual, available for download here: https://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagen...

    Enjoy cruisin' in your Focus!

    Crystal
