How many executive orders has Obama signed?
I heard numbers I find hard to believe. Can someone get me a link showing the exact number?

the exact count is 137.
but before you think that is a lot, it is less than any president since before Herbert Hoover.
George Bush signed 290.
Ronald Reagan signed 380.
Richard Nixon signed 345
Herbert Hoover signed 995
however FDR was probably the tops at 3466.

Loads.
But here's an interesting question related to this.
Why doesn't he sign one which will close Gitmo?
Eh?
Because I'll tell you why.
Obama has no power.
Do you honestly think he signs executive orders to have his own way?
Don't fool yourself.
He signs these to enact policies written by his masters.
Romney will do the same if elected, because BOTH of them have the same masters.
WAIT AND SEE.
I know I am right.

@ the first responder,
When Obama tried to close Gitmo, it meant transferring those prisoners onto US soil and NO STATE was ready to accept that.
The US build a new high security prison for the prisoners of Gitmo, in indiana I think.
But it became politically unpalatable to bring those prisoners into the US.
It also gives those prisoners certains right that can be denied as long as they are not held in the US.
