If a wealthy random stranger gave you a choice, which one would you pick?

d) to pay off your mortgage - and if it were not for the subprime loan fiasco i wouldn't let them do that. i had a comfortable retirement and was in the process of building our dream house. the subprime loan fiasco cost me half of my ira and a third of my home equity. after almost ten years of retirement i have been forced to reenter the job market to make sure my wife and i can continue living in our new house

i think what the lenders did was criminal. they loaned money to people who couldn't qualify for a regular loan. and they allowed them to buy a house they couldn't afford using a loan that they knew would very quickly require payments they couldn't afford. because of their short term greed millions of people were seriously hurt financially. and many of them will never recover from it

My own business. I could work at it and then hopefully be able to pay off the rest myself. Not some crummy burger van though, I want premisses!

I would choose to pay for all of my children's degrees. That would be a heavy weight off of my shoulders.

A dream vacation for sure.

E most likely. Once I got a business running (assuming I do it sucesfully) I can take care of all the other stuff myself.

Pay for my kid's college degrees, at least i'll know they'll head somewhere positive with their future
