What do you think of my workout routine?

(I do this once a week then I change my routine every week)

Hard

Jump rope for 10 minutes-30 minutes

200 Squats a week (not a day)

300 pushup a week (not a day)

300 dips a week (not a day; I said a week)

(Next week)

Light

Chest press =2 to 3 sets of 8-12 reps

Tricep kickback=2 to 3 sets of 8-12 reps

Bicep curls or hammer curls=2 to 3 sets of 8-12

Bike for 30minutes to an hour

Chin ups.

And then I repeat this type of workout every week. The hard stuff I do 3 days a week and the light activity I do 5 days a week. So what do you think.

    Hi,

First of all, if you are doing the hard stuff 3 days per week and the light stuff 5 days a week, this means that there are days where you are working out twice per day.

Never work out trice per day, as your body will not be able to recover from the workout. This means that you will end up injured and left with no results over time.

Do the following workout. It is easier to remember and will not lead to overtraining.

    MONDAY - Chest / Shoulders / Triceps

    TUESDAY - Cardio

    WEDNESDAY - Back / Biceps / Forearms / Abs

    THURSDAY - Cardio

    FRIDAY - Legs / Shoulders

Take the weekend off to do whatever you like. As far as sets and reps go, do 2 exercises for each body part to start with and keep the rep range between 5 and 15. As you become conditioned, increase your sets to 3 and then 4.

    John.

You 'answered' one of my questions. Well actually it's not a joke. This is a very serious question. I was on the phone with my father when it had happened. She didn't call me for advice. She's in a bad stage in her life(may not be properly taking care of her, my father is but there is only so much he knows how to do, reason I asked this question)since her husband just died and the funeral is tomorrow(also her 50th wedding anaversery) the reason she doesn't want to go to the hospital.

This was NOT the point of the question, it was to get info, not get critized on my life. I was in a hurry to find answers to the problem I asked, not tell you every detail of my life. Sorry my question didn't meet up to your standards.
