Does "happy" here reflect something special?

We got known to one another since more than a year and we developed from just friends to best friends where he knows mostly all my problems and shares with me his, we laugh and smile together and talk to one another daily and for hours.

Lately he is telling me "You make me so happy talking to you every time". "Of all my friends, you are the only one who makes me happy even if your mood is down just it makes me happy to help you out."

Besides he keeps telling me "You are the best part of my day, you became main part of my daily schedule ..."

Does the word "happy" he keeps telling me about reflect that he is into me as more than just friends?
