Which iPad should I buy?
I am going to buy an iPad for Christmas. Which is better in your opinion:
1. The new iPad Mini Wi-Fi 16gb for $329 & Otterbox Defender for 69.95.... total cost $399
2. Refurbished 3rd generation iPad with Wi-Fi 16GB for $379 with Otterbox Defender for 89.95... total cost $468.
- My question is about the retina display. The iPad 3rd generation has a retina display, while the iPad Mini does not.
My question is, is the Retina Display ( I have an iPhone 4, so I know what the retina display looks like) worth the 50 extra dollars for the iPad, 20 extra dollars for the Otterbox ( I am very clumsy so there is no question about the Otterbox. I will purchase the Otterbox before I buy the iPad), and the .76 pounds?
Thanks in advance for all the answers! And please, no one say "don't buy an iPad. Buy a Kindle, Nexus whatever". I don't want to hear that.

How do you plan to use it?
The full size iPad had a larger screen, which makes it better for watching movies/video. It's also better for reading magazines and books that are in color and have a larger format as well as comics and manga. If you don't plan on doing any of those things then the smaller screen may meet your needs. The mini is also more portable, if you plan to carry it around.
Personally, I'd go for the full sized one.

I recommend the I pad mini because its the latest gadget. But If I were you I would buy a cheaper optiion from other brand.
I like Apple but its terrible expensive for something obsolete in 6 months time. Have you tried the Amazon Kindle Fire? It cost 3 times less and does the same thing.

get the ipad 3 if you have to, dont get the ipad mini its just a stupid product that apple came out with. i like apple products myself, but try to look into samsung as well, you can customize everything. its very open and fun. trust me, at least go and look into it before u buy an ipad.

The IPhone nevertheless won't help Flash or Java. my very own opinion is that the iPad won't for it sluggish. keep in mind, too, that the IPhone debuted at two times the cost it ended up. i might wait slightly. a minimum of for the subsequent type.
