What are some exercises to strengthen and loosen up the hips?

So my MMA trainer told me that I need to put more hips in my roundhouse kicks. I have solid knees and push kicks but my roundhouse kicks are pretty mediocre. Problem is that I've never really had great hip movement (for example, I wouldn't move my hips while dancing the salsa or whatever). So what are some exercises that will help me put more hips into my kicks? Preferably bodyweight exercises, since I don't have access to a gym.

    Stretch your adductors, abductors, hip flexors and lower back. Do compound lifts like the deadlift and squats.
