if you are using windows 7 it has its own speech to text program which is actually very good, look in the control panel for speech recognition, watch the tutorial and set it up as shown in the tutorial, i only did it last week and i must say i am impressed with how it works

You can use a app in the App Store. Text to Speech. It's free. Or google "computer says what you type" it's the first one I think. Or you can make a file on desktop, it's a bunch of code though.
