Microsoft office starter 2010 not working?

Question

I have a dell laptop (windows 7 64-bit) with pre-installed Microsoft office starter. It was working fine until it became unresponsive three days ago. Whenever i clicked on any office icon or document, it says 'Microsoft office downloading required feature and may become temporarily unresponsive'. I checked for solutions in microsoft, they said to restart computer and let it download feature. So I left the computer as it is for one day. But even when i open now it shows the same message. As instructed in microsoft's answer page i also checked in Control Panel/Click to run application manager. But it seems that downloading doesn't move from 0% even when there is good internet connection,

Please don't suggest me to upgrade. It's not possible for now.

Click on it and install it.. It will automatically fix all your issues. Say yes to each and every popup window.

If you still face the same issue on windows 7 please Uninstall your windows starter first...because it a problem with a windows compatibility. To do this follow the following steps

01. Click on "start" and then click on the "control panel".
02. Click "Uninstall a program" under the sub heading "Programs"
03. Double click on Microsoft Office Starter 2010. Type the admin password if it popup for Admin password.
04. Uninstall all the features and then restart your Laptop.

Very simple. Download LibreOffice and run that as a substitute. It also does shows and spreadsheets. And edits PDFs. You could constantly retailer in the word or Powerpoint format if you ought to share with those who are still using proprietary codecs.
