What has happened to the King's Head pub, Upton upon Severn, Worcs, UK?
Been using this pub for 30 years+, then as a teenage rocker on my Norton, recently taking out my grandkids for a treat. It's closed recently, first for refurbishment, now signs up saying pub for rent.
Anyone in Upton who knows what's happening?

5 pubs in my part of London have closed recently, 2 are Tesco Express, one is Sainsburys and the others are being demolished to make way for flats, there is still 3 within walking distance.

Probably the same as hundreds/thousands of pubs per year, can't make it pay .
The usual moans are:
supermarket booze too cheap
smoking ban
brewery tie prices too high
council tax, drink tax everything tax
drink driving law
under age drinker enforcement
And of course it's your fault, you didn't go there every day spending money!
