Crx sunroof help.....?

Well my 1989 crx sunroof hasn't worked in awhile(it's not rusted) and it doesn't open. I took the switch out,opened it up, cleaned the contacts, and still nothing. So this leads me to believe it's the relay or the motor. I don't hear the motor making any noise either. So I need a second opinion before I take the headliner out. Do you think it's the relay or the motor? There is also gunk all in the railing, but I cleaned a decent amount off with wd-40. It also gets stuck on the drivers side, so is the pastic "arm" thing broken? I have never messed with sun roofs, so I just need some reassurance, haha.
