Can I still open a bank account with Chase if...?

I owe money and pay it off before trying to open up a new account? I had an account with Chase about 4 years ago, and at the time I was working, but then I lost my job, and my account became inactive and they started charging me a bunch of fees. Well now I finally have a stable job, and want to open account with Chase again and pay off the money I owe. Does anyone know if I will still be able to open account with them?

You may be able to, they did for my daughter, but it was within a year. They may not issue you a debit card, but should issue you an atm card.

Do NOT open an account with Chase, or any other megabank (Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc). They are ALL crooks. Open an account with a local community bank or credit union.

Talk to Chase. They have been known to take care of this for you.

When you open the account, do not expect to be able to use it until the amount you owe has been paid in full.
