Why can't Subway be open 24/7?

Man, I would love to have a Chicken & Bacon Ranch Melt right now! And yeah, I pretty much live off the same thing...Subway, sometimes Quiznos, and I eat a lot of noodles. Keep rocking on ;)

Not the entire buses to New Jersey run 24/7. That is when you consider that they're run by yet another organization or govt entity. The NYC municipal transit (subways and neighborhood buses) is constantly open 24/7, however they have a tendency to do monitor work on the subway late at night time, so there are by and large service changes on the subways as a result of track work late at night time and on weekends. Investigate the MTA internet site for agenda changes for when you'll be here.

Because Subway is run on a Franchise system and the operatives are pretty much "one man bands" with little in the way of staff except family.

The people running each branch need time off and can't afford to employ staff willing to work unsociable hours.

Hollywood and Boyle heights subways are open 24/7

There are some in big cities that are open 24/7. You could learn to make your own sub that would be a million times better than theirs.

Save up your money, buy your own Subway franchise and stay open 24/7 ;)

I have seen a couple that are open 24 Hours a day.

Maybe one day it will be, I know of a McDonald's that's open 24/7.
