Have Dale Earnhart Jr. and Tony Stewart lost any of their fanbase by hiring Danica Patrick to drive their cars?

News flash dude, racing at this level cost tons of money and the drivers and owners will do just about anything for the money they need to keep competing these days. sponsors are tough to come by today and they are forced to kiss butt to keep them. Danica isn't a bad driver and she draws fans. So no I don't believe Tony or Dale lost fans because of hiring Danica.

She completed 8th final night time in the Nationwide race so i would say she is doing good enough for her first full yr in the Nationwide sequence. She is not able for Cup racing but two years within the Nationwide series could support make her aggressive. I think the verdict is out and Junior on the whole thinks she will bring sponsors into the game that will not otherwise come into it. I will wait and spot how she does the leisure of the season to make any judgment about her. Her win within the IRL and a high 5 at the Indy 500 got her observed and her looks do not damage her both. There are various younger men drivers who've a hard time their first few years in the activity and i would provide her the chance to enhance the next two years.

I don't think either of them lost any fans. i'm a big stewart fan but have never like jr. (deal with it peeps). i do think that they both signed her more for sponsorship than for anything else however. Seriously, when was the last time she finished a race in the top 10, she has no consistency (except for wrecking [she even takes herself out of races now by attempting to wreck others] & finishing near the bottom. i just do not think that she has the PHYSICAL strength needed to finish a race. her open wheel (indy) cars were 1/2 the weight & the tires were twice as wide (slight exaggeration on both) so it was easier to handle those cars. pretty much she was hired for looks & sponsorship money.

gun up the ladder, they would have grabbed someone

like Bobby Santos.

No, they wouldn't have picked any old attractive female. Danica is progressing nicely and learning. Considering her very short time in NASCAR, she has and is doing very well. People like you expected her to come in and dominate the sport I guess, because (again) she has clearly done much better than many rookies who turned out to be very good drivers in NASCAR racing. She will never be a great, but she will be good enough to be competitive throughout most of the seasons in the future.

Tony is smart enough and has enough logic to not just hire some random dud. She was hired for a reason and it wasn't just for her good looks.

No they havent many fans have a few drivers they like not just one
