If someone gets access to a pin number but not the actual credit card number itself, can that person get money?

Basicaly, if someone only gets the pin number does he pose a threat even though he hasn't gotten the credit card number?

not a big threat . however its usually easy for you to ask your bank for a new PIN number or change it in an autoteller ( bank wall machine) so that he cant use the number he has

If you mean the pin number required when you insert a card into a machine, then no, the pin number is useless without the card.

A crook having the long card number, the expiry date and the last 3 digits on the signature strip does pose a threat as the card details could be used online with all that information.
