What is 'what' in korean?

a lot of places say mueos and some people said Wae, but in a few dramas i heard something along the line of boula(bull-la) in a shocked WHAT? help pleases and if many different forms please explain. Thank you!~

    It really depends on how you say the word (your intonation)

    "Wae" is more like a why than a what. Normally you say "wae" as if you are asking a question, like "wae?"=why. But if say the word as if you were shouting, it can be interpreted as "so what?"="Wae!"

    boula (x) molla (O) means I don't know in korean, not what.

    mueo means what in korean.

    I would say it's more said like "mool-ah"? Or "mool" for short. Sometimes "mool-ah-gul" for bizarre situations.

    "mool" is more casual. "mool-ah" is more shocked.
