Which is best 7" or 8.9" kindle fire?
I'd like to see a hand hold up both sizes to know how to buy. I've read movies are better on 8.9", but, I don't usually watch movies a lot. I want a Kindle fire to read books, magazines, web surf and email. I really like Amazon customer service-so that is why I would go kindle. Which size do you think is best for an older person?

It's all about portability and screen size that you can enjoy. For 8.9" I think you need to hold it with both hands just like iPad. For 7", you'll be able to hold it with one hand for some time, and you should be able to fit it in your pocket. For 8.9" you'll need a bigger bag to hold it. So it depends on how you plan to use it, and if you plan to bring it out often.
If you use it mainly at home, then 8.9" Kindle Fire HD should be good, it's always enjoyable to have a bigger screen. If you watch movie much then definitely it's 8.9" screen. But if you always take it out, then 7" Kindle Fire may be better, for the lighter weight and small size to fit in pocket. Reading books and email are excellent with 7" screen, while magazines, web surf are fine on 7" tablet as well.
There's a good discussion about screen size of Kindle Fire HD, should help your choice:

I haven't got one myself (yet) but i am hoping to recieve one for christmas as i was looking at them in an electrical shop today and the 7 inch ones, i think, are a perfect size. They are definetly big enough to watch films on and the smaller they are the cheaper they are so possibly you will be able to buy one with more GB on instead of a bigger size etc. It just depends on what you will personally be using it for.
Hope his helped! x

is 2 inches even noticeable? If you're buying for an older person I would say get the bigger one
