I want to build a floor that is liftable by pullleys.?

Okay whenever I walk into the boys' room, the toy race tracks are all laid out over the floor, I want to be able to have them on light weight boards that can be raised by pulleys off the floor and raised above our heads when not in play, and then lowered to the ground when they want to play. Any ideas? There is a light fixture in the center of the room.

I think it would be easier to mount the track to plywood and either slide it under the bed or hinge it to the floor so it can be lifted up and against a wall. The bottom can be painted or covered to match the room and the sides can be trimmed out to give a flush look. I had 4 brothers and raised 4 sons, I know what the boys would do with the pulleys and cords. It ain't pretty. Raising the track to the ceiling may block the light and if not secure may crash down on someone. I would go with sliding it under the bed. It's not only the easiest to put together but also the most convenient system to use. It could also be set in another room.
