Slow Internet Conection Help Plz?

Question

My internet connection is really slow in my room. In my living room and the master bedroom its really fast.
I know that my router is really far from my room and the signal has to pass thru alot of walls to reach my laptop.
Therefore, I am thinking of buying a linksys router and place it in my kitchen which is just outside my room and the internet connection is fast over there.
So will the internet connection be fast on my laptop when the linksys router is connected to my laptop and placed in the kitchen?

Instead of a router, you may want to get a wireless repeater. You won't have to create a brand new separate network from the one the original router creates, you don't have to deal with the additional set up of getting a second router connected and up and running, and it could be cheaper (unless you're going with a cheap router to begin with). A wireless repeater is a wireless device that picks up wireless signals it receives, then rebroadcasts them, creating some extra wireless signal strength. Devices like this are generally used to increase the range of a network by strengthening a signal once it starts to get weak.

I don't know if it will necessarily speed up your connection, but based on the fact that in other rooms it works better, this will probably help.

Yupp a router may expand the transmission distance but still there is no guarantee that u will get higher speed. It wil be better to contact ur ISP.

It in user-friendly terms applies once you initiate up. this happens once you swap on a seek till now your connection is done. once you initiate up limewire, wait approximately 20 seconds till now you initiate up any seek.
