Cacti are very tough plants that are easy to grow. You just need a sunny window or very bright light, a good cactus soil (it's sandier than regular potting soil) and properly sized pots with drainage holes. You don't want large pots, since all that soil holds too much water and can rot the shallow roots of most cacti.

Feed them a diluted plant food during the spring and summer. Water only when the soil is quite dry, then water thoroughly. If the plants are in a window, rotate them each time you water so they'll grow evenly. You can put them outside in early spring, but not in direct south-facing sun.
