Buying Tata Nano car - is it safe to drive?
Hi, I plan to buy Tata Nano. My usage is mainly city driving; I like the car design, power, AC etc.; It is also a VFM car. My question is: Is this car safe for driving? I heard from someone that this car is not well tested for crash-worthiness. Can some Nano owners or experienced motorists answer me?

Buddy my mother and I have driven the Nano in crazy Mumbai Traffic and we've been just fine! I'm sure these are just things people say because they have to have an opinion about all things right? there was a point when they asked where would automobile technology excellence originate from and you said germany and japan but turns out it came from the very own house of tata's in india.. its pathetic and sad that indian's cant have a balanced judgment about this product.. regardless, Nano owner for past 6 months.. in Mumbai city.. very satisfied.

I am driving Tata Nano since last 1 year, and as a owner i can say its a great car. No issues at all till now, It's very spacious, easy to park, and it has a smooth engine. It's absolutely a safe car for driving. I am enjoying driving Nano. So go for it, and enjoy the Nano.

When you are going daily by car in city traffic, then go for NANO and NO problem dont worry, now every problem of nano is resolved, so no more fire catching. If you can wait for some more time may be 8 months you can buy NANO diesel version.

i'm a Nano LX owner for the past 6 months. The car has treated me fantastically well as opposed to prior beliefs. I gives good mileage.. 20 kmpl.. in the city about about 26 kmpl on the highway.. comfortable seating.. upholstery & rear view mirrors.. I have nothing to complain.. its so many features for thr money you pay.. especially in a crowded city the parking convenience is very good.. its a tough car.. try it to believe!

The car is worth buying, a true value for money.. Specially for City driving, we have two nano's at home and haven't face any problem regarded to it.

Definitely, its a safe car to drive. I have taken it in pretty rough terrain .. its a rough and tough car.. bohot baatein chali hai nano ke bare mein.. its pretty pointless. Its the best thing you can get in city traffic frankly.. mileage is decent.. features are good.. the fuss is unnecessary .. buy it man.. im a happy Nano customer.. no point in being skeptical..

I think the Nano is a smart buy. Its our second car but I feel it gives me much more value than my sedan especially in Mad Crazy ridiculous city traffic and other idiots on the road! Its the best car to take to the market and drive back home.. long rides are fine too my sister did the mumbai-pune highway twice in four months..and came back in full piece.. its bullcrap to say the car will fall apart,.. it hasnt.. its been very good to us.. the petrol version gives us fair mileage.. i donno whta the fuss is about..

You can go for it, if the usage is minimal and if you do not have any other alternate choice. Its not worth recommending this car. Quality wise too this car or rather any other Tata vehicles are not up to mark.
