How do i take my original idea for a company, and ensure i get credit for it?

i had a pretty good idea for a web based company. the problem is, i have essentially no financial backing. i've written a rough business model, but dont really know where to go from here. i guess i would like to either find investors or sell the idea, but i'm not too sure what steps to take for either of those options. i figure i should have my business model notarized and maybe copywritten? all advice would be appreciated. thanks.

I would copyright your idea then make anyone you are speaking with sign and date a confidentiality agreement before you give them any specific details
