Do democrats see debt as a national threat?
Even if we raised taxes on the richest people that wouldn't come close to paying off the yearly deficit.

Politicians are not trained in economics, or they don't care. To a politician, national debt only means that the people need his leadership more than ever. He does not even consider that it was his stupid leadership that caused the problem. The people don't care. They gave all their responsibilities to the government and they don't ever want them back for any reason.

That is 100% correct but it would help.
Think of it this way you have a bucket of or water and that's the debt and it looks deep and wet lol and the rich tax represents a glass full. So you take your one glass of water and the bucket still looks full but you keep taking that glass with other smaller and larger glasses and before you know it the bucket is not so deep and one day it might be empty BUT.....if you do not take a glass or even a thimble that big ole bucket of water will never change and might even overflow and ruin your floor.
So like a seed or a vote or an idea, most things start small but it can grow to something powerful.

They don't get it. Liberals think if we raise taxes on the rich then the middle class and the poor will be given the money. This is what they think. But they fail to realize that even Obama has never said he would do that because he knows he can't. The 2 ton elephant in the room is the national debt.
But liberals have yet to see that elephants because the trees are blocking their view of the forest.
P.S. But don't tell the liberals...........They still think they won.

Getting into another war is a BIGGER THREAT than having a larger national debt.
I'm happy that (R)-money lost the elections. Now he can safely retire and collect his monthly social security checks (which will automatically make him one of those 47%).

Of course. But they also understand that the big-ticket items, like wasteful military spending, are better ways to start on reducing debt than comparatively minor spending like welfare.
