How much should I tip the tow driver who hauled my motorcycle?

A short jaunt to the local shop. Bike problem was a broken valve stem.

When do you think a tip is appropriate?

If a call from home for a tow, no tip.

If a call from Bumphluck, Iowa's corn field country in the middle of a rainy night you couldn't tip him enough as long as it was relatively prompt service.

Nothing unless he went above and beyond what was needed. I dont understand what the need is to tip everyone for doing the job they are suppose to do. I have been driving tow trucks for years and never expected a tip and refused many tips because i was just doing my job. I took a few when I had to do something way way beyond normal but for just towing a rolling bike to a shop i never would have taken your money.

My Harley was hit at a gas station a couple of summers ago by a woman who didn't even look when she backed up. When I phoned the police she was pissed and tried to make me look like the bad guy. I had CAA tow my bike to the Harley dealer. I tipped the guy $10.

I'd say $10-$20 depending on the attitude and the way he treated you.

5 if he was an *** and 20 if he was nice and helpful to lend a hand to someone in need
