Why did Obama get 9 million fewer votes in this election?
2008 - 69,498,215
2012 (Projected) - 60,788,555
Does this show that he really does not have any mandate? It seems that he has even less support now then he did in 2008.
BTW: I did not vote for Romney, I am just asking a question so serious answers would be nice.

At the end of the day, does it matter? Even with 9 million fewer votes he still won.... How many of those 9 million were too pi$$ed off at both parties and their childish fighting to even bother voting or voted Independent or Libertarian?

He won the election..so what is your point?
Romney couldn't even win his home state & his birth state...pathetic!
You should go try figuring out those "projections" .

I think he does have less support. I feel like last election wasn't as close. Mitt Romney gave him a good race.
