Yes, I know some. I'm deaf but I'm capable of speech. I have a severe hearing loss in my right ear and a profound hearing loss in my left. Hearing aids help but I rely a great deal on lip reading. My parents did not want me to be restricted to communicating by ASL so I learned how to speak through years of speech therapy. I know the alphabet and about 100 signs. EMT
