Possible endometriosis...? please help.?
So for almost 4 months now I've been having HORRIBLE pain on both my right and left side of my stomach (around my ovaries) I've been on and out of the ER, and went to my family & gyno doctor. The doctor at the ER who saw me several times told me I had a cyst on my right ovary (4.8cm) and a few little ones on my left. Everytime I went to the doctor they would come and go.. so the doctor thinks I have endometreosis.. this pain has been the most severe pain I've ever experienced. It's in my back, and of course my stomach. I've lost nearly 50 pounds in the past 4 months & I've tried a million different medicines, they all didn't help. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to manage this pain? Also I'm scheduled for lapascopy soon. And I'm terrified...has anyone had this done? Any idea what I should expect... I'm scared about everything.. I'm 17.. I shouldn't have to go through this.... thanks in advance.

HI Hon! I hate to hear that you;re having these problems I had the same problems,it feels just like labor pain!! it could very well be endometriosis,it might help if you take hormones , between my 2 boys I was on hormones> birth control> No Pain> I had my tubes tied after the second one and all the pain returned in spades,I could barely for 2-3 days and eventually had a hysterectomy, NO PAIN, no periods either! I am back on hormones but I feel much better too, endometriosis is when the lining of your womb is expelled monthly to prepare for a pregnancy that;s what your period is,sometimes it will attach to other organs and and grow and makes a mess of things actually, don;t be scared but ask your mom about hormone therapy.

1st off, im on my phone so excuse the type-o's and misspells....i have endometriosis, cysts on my ovaries and in my breasts and very painful periods. Endometriosis is a thicker than average linning of the uterus.
I've had every test under the sun run on me. The laposcopy is easy...dont worry. If any of your cysts have burst the pain is mind boggling. Right now it probably hurts you to eat. I understand what you are going through. I've been battling it for 1 1/2 yrs and now they say i have an inflammed (irratated) stomach and irratable bowl syndrome (IBS). Dont be surprised if they dont start telling you something similar. The truth is, Dr's dont know WHAT to to. Endometiosis can be thinned out, the bigger cyst can be removed simply. Dont stress out on the laproscopy. If your parents can afford those 'Ensure' suppliment drinks, they are easy to keep down, so is yogurt to try to put a little weight on you. I wish i had a definitive solution for you. Good luck to you and i hope you recover soon.
