Do liberals have any debt ceiling that says "Okay, we're spending too much"?
When is it ever a good model to expect people to pay more because the government decided to spend more? Do you liberals have ANY line drawn that says the spending is the problem? Businesses don't rely on selling more product to survive, they rely on cuts. Government needs to be run like a business and voters just voted a guy back into office with ZERO business experience and turned away a guy with 25 years experience. Are liberals so determined to destroy the middle class so that there are only the rich (providers), the poor (takers), and government (enablers) that they will cut off their nose to spite their face?
Post 1: Cheney was wrong to say that. I'm a conservative so don't compare me to a republican.
Post 2: First of all the economy didn't collapse because of tax cuts. It collapsed because of the credit crisis and housing bubble. Bush warned both a republican controlled congress and democrat controlled congress about this issue over a dozen times and neither one did anything about it, so don't blame Bush. Bush is 1 man who signs a bill. If a bill isn't sent up to fix a problem, he can't do anything about it. He can only sign what is sent up to him or veto it. Stop blaming Bush for EVERYTHING, it's OLD and a cry baby excuse when it has no validity.
I want my question answered or anyone who has answered so far can concede that they are a moron. I am so sick of people deflecting the question and pointing the finger at someone else. I'm not here to say Bush did a good job, I'm here talking about Obama doing an even WORSE job. YOU guys criticized Bush but now you let Obama have a free pass. I rode Bush when he did the wrong thing, but to say he caused the recession or that the wars caused all the debt are completely inaccurate.
Reagan's model worked great if he had just refused to work with the democrats and pass their bills. Government actually takes in more money from lower taxes because more people are working and paying into the system than tax increases.

Exactly! The republicans work hard to stop additional spending by trying to block the debt limit increases - whenever a democrat is in the White House. Otherwise, they will be happy to vote to raise it. Like they did when Bush was president and the democrats criticized them.

Isn't it ironic that the economy did just find when "those liberals" were in charge but as soon as bush took over and pushed his tax cuts everything fell apart. But of course the solution to the problems created by those tax cuts is....more tax cuts. Didn't Einstein say something about that...

Reached that point ages ago. Too bad the connies refused to raise taxes on the richest Americans and corporations that export jobs, end corporate welfare, end the wars, end foreign aid, cut back our oversized military. No, they prefer to attack the working class and the elderly.
