Which PS3 Should I buy?

Look, I know this is a common question, but honestly, I need to know for my specific situation.

I'm currently in college and my roommate has a ps3. It's amazing and I love it to death. We can watch bluerays on it, the graphics are awesome, and the games for it rock! (and I'm a hardcore Nintendo fan) The thing is, it's not backwards compatible. It's inconvenient for me to have to lug out my version one ps2 every time I want to play Kingdom Hearts, but it's just that. An inconvenience. I really want one of my own (I'm not sure if she plans on staying on campus next year or not) so I was wondering if it was worth getting one with backwards capability.

I've heard that they're really noisy (no pun intended) and I have a bad habit of rage quitting games, forgetting they exist, and then starting over when I finally realize I never beat it. And I also have an issue with not being able to delete my rage quitted games for no apparent reason, not to mention I also save scrap files on games (due to bad experiences in the past) and once I did this on my roommate's ps3 it started glitching terribly due to lack of memory.

Sooo, yeah to make a long story short, assuming cost is no issue, should I sacrifice memory space for backwards capability?

Nah I think that's a bad idea. There's a new plays station 3 slim that came out about a Month ago and it's great. The older ones aren't worth it. They have lots of problems like the ones you mentioned. In my opinion, I would go for the new slim ps3. I just bought one and I have to tell you, it's worth every cent.

Get a newer version. Word around the campfire is that there will be a Kingdom Hearts HD collection soon. So you can play it on you PS3 from now on.
