How to make my boyfriend's mom take our relationship seriously?

I think you should give him a break for a while and see what happens from then onwards...why??? Mom can be really tricky to deal with especially when it comes to their sons. Worst if he is a mommy's boy. Life is too short to be trying to get the mother to take the relationship seriously.

If your boyfriend really wants the relationship he will find a way to make it work...and if the mother see how he behaves about it...she will eventually cut you guys some slacks. Try to see things from his mom's point of view, she wants the best for her son and you maybe a distraction in her eyes. Also, your boyfriend probably cannot handle the relationship and his school work.It can be a ton of reasons, so back off for a while and don't stress yourself. If he is for you - no1 can stop it!!!

There isn't much you can do. He can't go against his mother for a relationship, even if he loves you or lusts you.

I say let this relationship take its course. She's just a concerned mother who wants her child to do right and not become a drop out. It's not the fact that she doesn't take your relationship seriously, it's the fact that she wants him to do good in school.

Maybe she doesn't feel your "right" for him. Ask him how she feels about you exactly. Or when you meet her, introduce yourself, and be kind.
