I had an apicoectomy 4 days ago. Is cheek swelling still normal?
I had an apicoectomy done on tooth #3 four days ago. I have some tooth and jaw pain which I am dealing with by using Advil, but its the swelling of my cheek area that is concerning me. I did use ice the first day, and since then I've been trying heat. Is it normal to have a swollen/puffy cheek still? I'm slowly being more able to smile on the right side. When I press on the cheek it isn't hard, but very puffy. Thank you!!

No something is not right call your dentist ASAP let him know . They may have you come in after hours or go to the hospital
