How do I fix this Flash Player problem?

Please install the latest version of the free Adobe Flash Player. Download now.

This note comes up everyday and I have downloaded at least 10 times. never works.

    i had the same thing yesterday on an XP computer.

    i still am not sure what it was but

    i disabled two programs i thought might be affecting the install.

    one was diskeeper 2011

    and one was kaspersky password manager.

    i also turned on advanced text services.

    basically i undone recent changes,

    then it installed correctly,

    i then turned everything back the way i had it

    then everything worked perfectly.

    so i am thinking,

    you probably have something

    preventing the proper installation of the plug-in too.

    new toolbar perhaps ?

    start turning things off until it installs properly.
