Having the talk with my dad?
Okay, my dad has given me a "slight" puberty talk before, but I want to now sit down with him and have a "man-to-man" talk. About puberty, my penis, masturbation, and all that. But we are Muslims, and my dad is on the strict side of that, and cares about religion a lot. I don't want to make things awkward with him, and have him go all religious on me... so how do I approach him?

It's a really good thing that you want to speak with your dad about this stuff :)
You know being a Muslim isn't really the cause for your dad not opening up to you... Because "Not being ashamed of speaking the Truth" is a part of Islam. It's more of a cultural influence or his personal approach...
Anyways the only thing you can do is, Be frank and initiate the discussion yourself. And I'm sure he won't get all 'religious' on you :)

Give him a chance. Ask him. Use the correct words (penis, masturbation, etc) and if he gets awkward and too religious and doesnt' want to talk, then do what someone else suggested. Find an uncle. Older brother. Older cousin.
