combi boiler hot water working but not heating?

At the moment my heating is not working but my hot water is.

I have a ideal classic FF250. The boiler is not powering on when the heating is switched on. The power indicator light does not come on but does for the hot water.

I have replaced the timer box and the temperature sensor but still no joy.

I have tried looking to see where the power for the heating goes to on the boiler to try and trace a fault.

Anyone got any Ideas?

The Classic FF250 is not a combi boiler, it's a heat only boiler which heats a hot water tank and radiators separately controlled by either a 3-port valve or two 2-port valves. As you have hot water the fault is not on the boiler but probably a faulty valve motor in the 3-port valve or in the central heating 2-port valve.

Your heating process should be a sealed pressurised loop which does now not require any scorching water mains feed as it works independantly. The hot water provide crisis sounds odd. I've a combi boiler which runs some bloodless water by way of the sizzling water tap previous to it receiving heat. The time this takes is approx 30 seconds which I feel is relatively average.
