Itchy scalp, losing hair, bad dandruff! Help?

I'm a 15 year old female, and I have no idea what the reason behind this can be.

I'm fairly active (I work out), I drink enough water, I have a nice diet... It just doesn't make sense!

I as of the last month or two have had a terribly itchy scalp all of the time. I scratch and scratch and because of it I have terrible dandruff. I also lose hair when I brush it. Even finger brushing.

What can I do to change these things? I've tried millions of shampoos and conditioners, but nothing seems to work. I used to have beautiful hair, and now it looks dry (Even if I go nearly a week without washing it!) and has split ends a lot. No, I do not straighten it or curl it a lot. Even a hairdryer is a rare thing. Is this stress related? WHAT IS UP.

Thanks!

First, stop stressing yourself too much. Take this as a common problem.

Second, Losing 50- 100 hair strands a day is normal. Scratching your itchy scalp & excessive combing/brushing are factors that may affect your hair quality resulting to breakage and hair fall.

Scratching may also worsen your scalp condition, damage it and creates infection.

Question: Have you done the proper procedure for every product you have tried?

Have followed instructions. Wash your hair properly - not just wet, lather and rinse procedure.

Did you wait for 2-3 weeks for every shampoo to take effect on your scalp or you just kept switching products?

Next step is be patient. Start by using one brand of Anti-dandruff shampoo for 2-3 weeks.

for mild regular use : you can try head & shoulders (newest type)

for a medicated shampoo: you can try Nizoral

Dandruff is the rapid skin replenishment on the scalp.

Just give enough time for your scalp to return to its natural condition and normalize itself.

And do not forget to use every product properly.

Patience, avoiding stress, lesser sugar intake and Proper washing is a very important thing in effective treatment for dandruff.

If you really did all this and still nothing works, you may try Apple Cider Vinegar as a home remedy, it is known to be an effective dandruff cure. But make sure that you don't have lesion or bruise on your scalp.

    Good luck. :)
