Looking Back: 2008 NBA Draft?

Chicago was ninth in line for the first pick, yet they got it and drafted Derrick Rose. Does this sound a little odd to you considering Miami Heat had a 15-67 season?

BQ: If Miami had gotten the first pick and drafted Derrick Rose or even Russel Westbrook instead of Michael Beasley, would the Big 3 have still come together?

Answer both for BA!

Chicago only had a 1.7% chance of getting the #1 pick and low and behold they get it and they get the hometown kid in Derrick Rose.

Miami had a 25% of getting the #1 pick. They probably would've chosen Rose because they traded Beasley to Minnesota and could of picked Westbrook at #2. I could see LeBron venturing his way to Miami regardless of them getting the #1 pick, this could mean no Bosh at Miami, who knows. Rose, Wade, and LeBron - that would have been something.

no, miami heat were still a great team during that time. The only reason why they had an awful season was wade and shaq injuries.

BQ: if miami got rose, i think lebron would still consider the miami because of wade and riley. Lebron departure to cavs would still inevitable even though the miami had rose.
