The Slim is definitely better overall.

Compared to the Fat model, the Slim is 33% smaller, lighter, quieter, faster and more efficient (as in you'll save money on power bills and it's least likely to break from things like the YLOD due to a change in the CPU/GPU power output.)

As for the Superslim, hardware wise, it really isn't any different from the Slim except obviously the sliding disc tray and the pathetically cheap material, which also costs more than a Slim which is not cool.

    Superslim Pros:

    - Practically noiseless, you shouldn't hear it at all.

    - Same hardware for the most part as previous PS3 models

    - Much smaller and lighter, with a decent looking design

    - Bigger HDD sizes

    - Uses up less power than the Slim, making it a little less likely to overheat

    Superslim Cons:

    - Pricetag does NOT match the quality, hardware and size, as well as it's utter cheapness. Gaming companies who have reviewed it have all stated that "it's a cheap looking and feeling product, I have no idea what Sony was thinking. And the price tag is absurd."

    - Overall durability will be far less than other PS3's. It will most likely just be to suffice until the PS4 comes out in 2016-2020. It's basically a "filler" product

    - Disc tray will have a lot of issues later on down the road

    Slim Pros:

    - Durable, long lasting, nice design and great hardware

    - Decent HDD sizes

    - Not likely to overheat or break down unless your an idiot with it

    - Overall the best model in terms of performance and

    - Average life expectancy is 7 years

    - Reasonable pricetag. Will be under $300 total. $283 to be exact is all you need.

    Slim Cons:

    - They no longer make them, so you'd have to be lucky to find a brand new one in a box with factory seal still (try Best Buy)

    Hope that helps.

If you want a safe system, buy the PS3 Slim. I've had the method for 3+ years, and it's as fast and delicate as it was on the day I purchased it. No lag, no problems, and nice experiences. The PS3 tremendous slim has the sliding tray, however it should accidentally opened. Regardless of what PS3 mannequin you purchase, the important factor is that you buy a PS3. My cousins 20 GB Launch Day PS3 is still going for walks like a beast. I'd purchase the PS3 slim, and improve the tough drive to a 1TB. 1TB tough drives fee best $80 at best purchase. Hope I helped a bit of.

Super slim will be better because it's newer and has better hardware and technology.
