Me? I'm a Pentax person.... But that's just me.

I like Canon. Why? I don't really know why. I started out with a Pentax but switched to Canon a little while ago. I think it's just because the first photographer I really looked up to used Canon. And probably because one time I picked up a Nikon and couldn't figure out the menus.
But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. They're both cameras that take pictures when you press the shutter button.

I'm a Canon woman, through and by means of. I tried Nikons years in the past, but observed Canons extra user-pleasant for my functions. Canons look designed to be used with the aid of humans who count extra on intuition than technical details. I do know professional photographers who love Nikons, but they've bought extra endurance than I do when it comes to finding out technical specs. I am happier when i can spend a couple of minutes with a camera's manual, then determine the relaxation without needing an engineering degree to comprehend what i am doing. I've still acquired my Canon SLR from 20 years in the past and it is a trusty, reliable digicam that won me an AP snapshot Award once I was a news reporter (I used the "automatic" aperture surroundings, which intended all I had to do used to be focus the lens). It used to be so effortless to use, it would be passed to any person at a social occasion and that person could shoot a group snapshot with none SLR expertise. However my Nikon-centric brother is not in any of his portraits, on account that his digicam's a technical surprise that best Nikon peoplc can realise. Nowadays, i am making use of a 12mp PowerShot that is as easy to make use of a toothbrush.

Both. I have an old Nikon FE and an old Canon EX (both film cameras) and while I rarely shoot film anymore, they're both great cameras and I've done a lot of good work with both of them. For the last few years I've been using a Canon Power Shot, and I'm quite happy with it. I wouldn't mind giving a Nikon digital camera a try, though. I also have a Sony Cyber-Shot, and it's great for snapshots.

Canon, because I started out with a Canon Ftb and yeah. At this point in the camera world I don't think it makes too much of a difference anymore because a lot of the cameras at this point share similar/if not the same sensors, it just comes down to personal preference.

Nikon all the way. Even though Canon produces some amazing camera's, its all about the photographer. Both are amazing

I prefer the Nikon ergonomic and the ability to use the rear curtain sync, something that cannot be achieve so easily with Canon if you don't have the right gear. Apart from that I can have allot of fun using both brand.

Canon.
Because the first camera someone bought for me as a gift was a Canon, and that is what I am used to.

I've heard Canon has gorgeous color where Nikon has sharper images.
I'm a Nikon gal. I've never used Canon except in point & shoots.

I started with Canon, and they were good. Now I use Nikon, and they're good. Very good, actually.

Neither! I own a Pentax DSLR, a Sony DSLR, a Pentax 35mm SLR, Olympus 35mm SLR, and a Kodak 35mm viewfinder. I do have a slight preference to Pentax, but I try to use whatever I get my hands on. I am not a brand fanboy.
