How do I answer a latent heat of fusion problem with different temperatures?

How much heat is needed to transform a 60kg block of ice at -10 degrees celsius to a puddle of water at 90 degrees celsius. Latent heat of fusion is 3.3x10^5 j/kg

    Im looking at the same exact question, too and all the other people answering is not helpful at all.... tomorrow is my physics test ahhhhhhhh :(

    You need to consider it in three steps.

    1) The heat needed to warm the ice from -10 C to 0 C.

    2) The heat needed to melt the ice.

    3) The heat needed to warm the water from 0 C to 90 C.

    To do steps 1 and 3 you will need the specific heat capacity of ice and liquid water respectively.
