Employment changes.....is this legal?

My employer is in the process of changing from VA to TN-our new facility is now ready-this week they announced they will be discontinuing holiday pay and will be cutting back on the amount of vacation time earned each month (currently 1 day per month) effective January 1. Most of us received no pay increase of any kind this past year and the moral has fallen-They continue to hire people to replace those that have found other work or quit in disgust. The stress is incredible-I cant afford to quit and have as yet, not been able to locate other employment (I am looking!). I know employers are struggling, but this company has been in expansion mode and gets a set price for each call taken at our call center which has not been reduced. Can anything be done? Is this legal? I took this job because of the compensation and pay and possibility to grow, i now feel trapped and concerned for my financial future........any help would be deeply appreciated.

Update:

I realize that things cost more, everything costs more, my paycheck is not keeping up with those costs. I left another job for this one because of the benefits offered as well as more hours and pay and additional incentives of additional pay and vacation time for each year served. The immediate benefit of vacation time of 1 day per month right from the get go trumped my other job. Had I stayed at the other job, I would be ahead now of this one. I feel like they are now taking back things offered to entice me to change jobs. It just seemed rather short notice to take it away with less than 2 months notice. I can go back to my old company but would have to start the timelines all over, meaning another 2 years to catch up. Ah well.......or find another one entirely. Thanks for your imput.

Yes it's legal for them to do, and no you can't do anything about it other than find another job.

Neither VA or TN requires holiday pay or vacation pay. Nor do any of the other 48 states.

Because the company income has not been reduced, that is no reason to say that the profit has not been reduced. When you go to the store does milk cost more than it previously did. In my neighborhood it does. It's the same with insurance - workers comp, unemployment, other insurance programs have increased in costs. General items like paper towels now cost more...

You are welcome to find a new job.

if you are not under contract then the company can do as they please with your pay and 'bonuses'.
