How to restore tarnish-resistant cloth?
I have an old (50-yr+) storage chest for the family's sterling tableware. The liner is labeled "Tarnish Resistant" but this quality has faded over the years. What is the best way to restore or replace the liner?
Or add something to the box to improve tarnish resistance?

Not only was the cloth usually made of felt but it was also treated with chemicals to prevent your silver from tarnishing while not in use. The chemicals in the felt either prevented or slowed the process. You can still purchase this treated cloth at most sewing centers and online (Amazon.com has it). Just remove the old cloth as best you can and use it as a template for the new.
