for me it wasnt. it was about what was best for america. sadly, people think that voting for a person BECAUSE he is black is not racist, whereas NOT voting for one because he is black is racist. Its sad what this country has come to.

Well, no. It was certainly a factor. I would guess that, if Obama were not
one-half Black, he would have won by perhaps 20%. (60 to 40 maybe.)
Right-wing crazies make up only about three out of ten Americans. They include
the religious nuts, who are convinced that we are in "the end times", and the Tea
Party extremists with their tri-corn hats and mis-spelled signs.
Those suffering from the sickness of racism constitute no more than 10 to 15% of
the population in 2012. As the older generation dies off, these people will make up
a smaller and smaller proportion of voters.
A strong Republican candidate - someone like Huntsman, who is reasonable and
sane - would likely have defeated Obama, by appealing to Latinos and Asians, and
not shifting his positions every three days.

The media has been boasting about how we will have a third world majority in a couple of decades and about how the evil White man is now powerless in America

Only for majority of blacks and racist whites. The other people voted mainly based off of social issues that benefit them.
