  • Has anyone else used One Great Family?

Did it help in your search for ancestors? Did they tell you you could have a free trial, then turn around and bill you?

I was excited because I was finding so many ancestors, but upon closer look One Great Family displayed folks whose children were born before they were, ancestors (confirmed) that had as many as 40+ children (unconfirmed; all I have ever found was up to about 13 children, still too many!)

They would keep sending e-mails claiming to have found more ancestors, but either ones I already knew about or completely bogus.

Anyone else have that experience with One Great Family?

I asked for my money back as it was obviously a scam, but got the usual...

  • Why hasn''t Obama been impeached?

    Remember this when you vote---

Yes, he told us in advance what he planned to do. Few were listening.

The following is a narrative taken from a 2008 Sunday morning televised "Meet The Press'.

From Sunday's 07 Sept. 2008 11 : 48 : 04 EST, Televised "Meet the Press" THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Gann' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...

During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It".

    NOW GET THIS !!

    'Senator Obama replied :

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides". "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression.." "The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."

    (ARE YOU READY FOR THIS???)

Obama continued : "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails - - - perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ......"

When I become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations ofIslam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past".

"Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First black Family. Indeed,CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America "

    Yes, you read it right.

    I, for one, am speechless!!!

  • How can I convert .wps files to use on Windows 7? I have used MicroSoft window since 1998, with Windows 98,?

Windows 98B, Windows ME, and now Windows Vista. But, my new laptop uses Windows 7 and it will not open the MicroSoft Word Processor files with the .wps extension. If I convert all of the files to Wordpad, they can be read, but all formatting, etc., is lost, special characters, and color.

So, is there a way to open the .wps files? Is there a "free way" to open .wps files?

    Thank you.

  • Can you join Mensa without taking a test or without having taken ACT, GRE, etc. due to high grades?

My son did well in K - 12; he took admissions test and no tests such as ACT, GRE, GMAT, etc. He was admitted to Drexel U without taking any such tests. Mensa allows admission based upon results of these tests, but since he did not take any such test, can he "test out" and join Mensa?

  • My DVD-ROM drive keeps opening and closing; the virus scan says it is cookie 3130. How to remove cookie 3130?

This has been going on for months. I have Windows XP, PC-Cillin anti-virus (it is very good, but apparently not good enough). Whenever I do a virus scan, the CD-ROM drive will quite for awhile. The PC-Cillin says that cookie 3130 comes from a website www.Yimg.com (which I have never visited) and is often accompanied by cookie 1830, which PC-Cillin says comes from www.mediaplex.com, a site which I never visit. Apparently, Yahoo, Google, or Discovercard or credit unions are connected with these sites. Does any one know how to stop these cookies? I would like to have control of my computer!

    Thanks!

  • Is there a statue of limitations for utility bills, medical bills, or purchases? How long should receipts kept

Every once in awhile, I am threatened by a collection agency for services from years ago. If I don't have a receipt, then I am supposed to pay the bill. Isn't there a statue of limitation for utility bills, medical bills, other recurring bills or things purchased?
