Which is better (ACT)?
I got my ACT score last night but I'm in a little pickle.
I received a better essay, English, English/writing score but my last act composite is better.
Which one should I choose to apply???

always always send the higher composite.
the only time you would ever send both is if the college you are applying to 'superscores' meaning that they will combine your top area scores together from different sets of test results (and most colleges do NOT superscore)

Send them both in. Some departments may require a certain ACT subscore for certain classes, and this would show you have the subscore too.
Source(s): The composite is mainly only for admissions.
