Is it safe to store drinking water in a food grade barrel that was used to store food grade sanitizer?
I am buying a barrel for $20 to store drinking water in. The barrel was previously used to store food sanitizer. Will it be safe to use after a really good rinse or should I not bother. It is a plastic food grade drum. Thanks.

Safe. You are absorbing worse chemicals every day in the water you drink and the air you breathe.

depends on what sanitizer was in it, getting it clean enough is the issue and if any sanitizer that was toxic to humans permeated the plastic your screwed.

It ability they seem to be a secure plastic for nutrition and could no longer contaminate the meals. there are maximum of varieties of 'plastic' 'nylon' etc that the mixture to make the form in question has no pollution in.
