That's what big labor unions do best; drive businesses out of business. I was a member of a labor union once, and vowed never to be a member again. Labor unions possibly have helped people at one time or another, but when they get too big and too greedy, they make it hard for businesses to compete. The result is people without a job, and fewer products on the shelf.

I won't miss them since never liked the phony taste myself and never buy them.
I do feel for the workers out of jobs, though.

I think Hostess will be back after ridding themselves of those pesky employees who want to make a good wage, and replacing them with minimum wage workers or outsourcing everything to China or some third world country... So your jalapeno or Rhino horn and squid cakes may be a little stale by the time they reach your local store... (Who's cynical?!) :) Edit: I used to like the berry pies until they pulled them off the shelves and made them only available in bulk, for which I never forgave them. (That'll teach 'em! lol)

My thoughts.. I'm sorry for the people who may be left jobless and having to deal with that. It's not going to be easy for any of them.
Can't say I'll miss the twinkies and such since I don't buy them.

Sounds like bad mangement to me...It sucks that so many people will be out of a job, however, Hostess plans to sell off it's assets, which means another company, say hershey's or something like it could pick up those brands and sell them, which could also mean many of those layed off employees getting jobs...
